Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!
Where shall I begin?
My name is Piper and I am a Catholic Artist. No, I don't normally make Sacred Art but it is something I will be trying to do more of in the future. Throughout my journey to get where I am now, I have come to the conclusion that it is okay to be a Catholic Artist whose main focus is not Sacred Art.
Sacred Art is beautiful and I do wish to do more. Paintings relating to Catholicism are in the early stages of development, so stay tuned!
What is this blog?
Excellent question. This will be a bi-weekly journal of sorts. I decided to start writing, in part from researching how to grow as an artist, and, more importantly, to give everyone a more in depth view into my art. History has given us many insights into the lives of artists, like Da Vinci's Notebooks or Van Gogh's letters. Those are some of the most well known examples. I can't imagine how many journals or diaries of artists, or anyone from history, have been lost to time.
Being in this digital age is a unique opportunity to share and connect. It is both a blessing and a curse.
Every two weeks, or so, I will be making journal entries here with:
- Detailed descriptions of WIPs (Work-in-Progress) and completed pieces
- Upcoming projects
- History of Me
- My artist journey
- Miscellaneous other chaos
In terms of what I am currently working on, I have designed animal stickers for year-round use. Those will be launching soon!
I also have the great honor of painting the sign onto the Historic Dalton Oil Building in Old Town Grapevine after it's recent renovations. Over the past couple of months, I have worked closely with the new owners of the building. This is the biggest project I have worked on and I am so very excited to complete the project.
Be sure to subscribe to emails to be notified when a new journal entry is posted. Not only do email subscribers get a free downloadable coloring sheet each month, but they also get exclusive discounts and early access to sales!
One final thing, please do let me know if you have any burning questions.
I hope all of you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
